Anthony W. Ochoa

Don Anthony W. Ochoa was born November 5, 1922 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. He and his family returned to the Mission Dolores neighborhood of San Francisco where he spent his youth. Son of a street car operator and homemaker, he continued with his schooling before ultimately completing the coursework for a Ph.D. at U.C. Berkeley. He served the East Bay as a school teacher and administrator for all grades K-12 for over 35 years. While serving on his second term as a trustee for the Hayward Unified School District Board, Ochoa die prematurely at age 65. He hoped all children would have the opportunity to succeed in school.
