embraces family, youth, education, community and culture, while promoting leadership, civic pride, and community involvement. We honor Mexicans and Mexican Americans, past and present, who made, and continue to make, significant contributions to Hayward. We celebrate noteworthy events such as El Cinco de Mayo, El Diez y Seis de Septiembre, and Hispanic Heritage Month. We support our youth by awarding scholarships, sponsoring Ballet Folclórico and Mariachi programs.
